Natural Stone Anchoring Systems

Natural stone anchoring systems enable a safe and easy installation of the natural stone slabs by dowelling them or mortaring them in the anchoring ground.

Three-dimensionally adjustable anchors, which are attached to load-bearing walls with either anchor bolts or mortar, are part of the most common method for stone fastening systems in the construction industry.

The HAZ system solutions are suitable for all types of rear structures, regardless of whether they are concrete walls, blockwork, masonry or steel structures.

There are different types of natural stone anchors in different sizes, which fit the specification of the respective cavity walls, support the corresponding stone load or can withstand the wind loads.

Careful analysis of the stone construction must be performed to select the most efficient fastening solution.
The following points must be considered when designing a natural stone fastening system:

  • Type and size of natural stones
  • Overhang (= dimension from the front edge of the anchoring ground to the front edge of the facade panel)
  • Anchoring in the vertical and horizontal anchoring joint

AXO Body Anchor

  • To be fastened in the concrete with bolt anchors
  • Projections up to 260 mm
  • Recommended for vertical loads and wind loads up to 1300N

  • To be fastened in the concrete with bolt anchors.

  • Direct mounting on concrete with bolt anchors possible

Direct Attachment to Concrete Walls With Bolt Anchors


Direct Attachment to Concrete Walls or Masonry With Mortar

The attachment to load-bearing walls is often done with Bolzenankem.
The insulation is severed at each anchor point.
The insulation piece is brought back into position when the anchor has been fastened. Component joints are sealed with insulating tape to prevent thermal bridges.

The insulation is pierced at each anchor point.
Drilled holes are filled with mortar and anchors inserted into the mortar filled holes. The mortar should harden before starting work.
